George Michael - White Light

George Michael is celebrating the 30th anniversary of  his first single song since fighting for his life as a thank you to fans.

The singer has bounced back after a bout of pneumonia last year which nearly killed him and forced him to suspend his tour.
'The Careless Whisper' hitmaker said he feels 'blessed' to still be making music three decades after he began his career.

The new track "White Light' is the first opportunity for fans to hear his voice since he was in hospital in November, which he called the 'worst week of my life.'

Michael said the track is available for radio airplay on June 29, the date his first single with Wham! called Wham Rap, entered the UK charts.

'Although I know the music industry tradition on such occassions is to hit the hundreds of millions of albums sold, the number of records broken and awards received all over all those years, I would simply like to say thank you.


 New Track: White Light is the first single since George Michael hospitalisation and is due for release on August 12th.
In a message to fans through his website, he went on:

'Most of my fans realise that I dreamed of a career as a singer-songwriter from an early age, but never in my wildest imaginings could I have known that I would still be have so much more music to give.'

'It is miraculous in so many ways. Fate has been so kind to me, as have the millions of people that have bought records and come to see me play year after year since 1982.'
'I am truly blessed and White Light is my thank you to everybody who has a part of my success.'

Michael, who resumes his symphonic tour on Sept 4, is working a studio album his first for eight years.

When he appeared before cameras in the UK,  following his discharge, he was short breath and struggling to speak. In  January he said he did not think his vocal chords would be up to performing until the summer.
White Light is released on August 12th.

You Cannot Please Everyone

Living life trying to please everyone is not only a daunting task, but is nearly impossible to do and remain healthy, (emotionally and/or physically), simultaneously. Of course, we want to make other people happy but it cannot be at our own expense.

Attempting to live your life this way is how one becomes, (or remains), what is commonly know as "People Pleaser" and is not the way to be your best self , live and enjoy to the fullest. You cannot please everyone, but we must try to be pleased with ourselves. We must learn and continue to understand where 'they' and 'we' begin.

Saying 'No' or 'Not now', once in a while especially when necessary is healthy. 'No' is a part of teaching, learning and practicing healthy boundaries.

We cannot be everything to everyone nor we can do everything, especially at the same time. What can be and do is our best.

The point isn't hard to grasp: trying to please everyone is impossible, and will result in failure to please anyone (especially yourself), I blog, I write for an audience, but I have the experience of getting glowing praise and damning criticism. People don't always agree.

If you're trying to live up to all the expectations that crowd on you, you'll end up feeling miserable. Inevitably I have to manage and meet all the competing demands.

Mister Universe Model 2012 - Dominican Republic



Eric Junenez Sabater, Mr. Dominican Republic has just won the title Mister Universe Model 2012 which was held on July 13 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Reepublic.
Aside from the title, Sabater also won the Best Body award during the preliminary swimsuit competetion last week. The pageant was participated by 27 countries this year with only one candidate from Asia which is the Philippines.

Our very own John Marcia placed 24th in the interview portion, 13th in the swimsuit competetion, 19th in the formal wear segment and 3rd in the internet rating (Mr. Popularity). He was 24th overall.
